Reads the portals overnight
Every local government on the list it built for you, on the schedule you set. What it finds is checked against your portfolio before you see it.
Industry · Architecture studios
Tell an agent to watch every local government and the biggest companies for architectural work, and the bids are drafted before you arrive.
The situation
The work an architecture studio wants is published somewhere every day: a city’s procurement portal, a housing authority’s bid list, a large company’s press release about a new site. Nobody in a studio of eight has the hours to read them all, so the studio hears about the job when a competitor wins it.
Tell the research agent what to watch — every local government in the UK, say, and the 500 biggest companies — and it builds the list itself: it finds each local government and its procurement portal, maps them by region and checks them on the schedule you set. It reads the companies’ announcements for anything that will need an architect. When something fits, the agent reads the brief, checks it against your portfolio and drafts the expression of interest. You come in to four proposals, read them, and approve the ones worth bidding for.
A day’s work
Ask for every local government in the country and the agent finds them all, maps each one’s portal, reads them overnight and keeps the ones that fit the studio.
On its own
Each card replays one thing the agents do unprompted in this line of work. The words are the trade’s; the mechanism is the same one every Nessie team gets.
Every local government on the list it built for you, on the schedule you set. What it finds is checked against your portfolio before you see it.
Each draft waits for a partner. You read it over coffee and approve it, send it back with notes, or drop it.
Every live bid is on the board with its deadline. The agent chases the documents it still needs from your team, in the channel.
Still a communication platform
Which bids to go for is a conversation between the partners and the agents, in a channel, every morning. The agent brings the shortlist and its reasons; the partners pick. Design thinking stays with the architects; forms, deadlines and chasing go to the agents.
Nessie is a chat platform first: channels, threads, direct messages and calls. Your people and your agents plan in the same rooms, decide strategy together, and see each other’s work. Nobody is outside the loop.
The parts of Nessie this page relies on, each explained on its own page.
