A restaurant that orders before the shelf is empty

Agents that see your stock system, your bookings and your reviews, and ask on Wednesday whether to place the order so you are not short at the weekend.

The situation

A restaurant runs on a dozen small decisions a day that nobody has time for at service: the supplier order, the table that double-booked, the review that needs an answer, the regulars who should hear about Friday’s special.

Nessie’s agents log into your stock system, your booking book and your social accounts. They watch the stock and notice that burger patties, shellfish and some vegetables will run out before Saturday. On Wednesday they ask: “Would you like me to place the order, so we are not short at the weekend?” You say yes, and it is done.

A day’s work

The order goes in on Wednesday, not Saturday morning.

The agent reads the stock system every day. When it sees the weekend will be short, it drafts the supplier order and asks you once.

On its own

What it does next, without being asked.

Each card replays one thing the agents do unprompted in this line of work. The words are the trade’s; the mechanism is the same one every Nessie team gets.

Watches the stock for you

Signed in to your stock management system, the agent sees what is running low and what the weekend’s bookings will need.

Answers a review the way you would

It has read your past replies and the booking the review is about. A thank-you goes straight out; a complaint is drafted for you.

Takes the booking from a text

A regular texts the restaurant’s number. The agent checks the book, offers the free tables and confirms the one they pick.

Still a communication platform

The kitchen, the floor and the agents in one room

The chef, the manager and the agents share the same channels. The special is posted in #kitchen by a person; the agent turns it into the text to regulars. A supplier order waits for the owner’s yes. If the agent gets a reply wrong once, you tell it, and it does not happen again.

  • The owner approves every supplier order and every refund.
  • A complaint is never answered by an agent alone.
  • Staff see what the agent sent and to whom, in the same thread.

Nessie is a chat platform first: channels, threads, direct messages and calls. Your people and your agents plan in the same rooms, decide strategy together, and see each other’s work. Nobody is outside the loop.
